While not going back that far (I do run an Amstrad CPC emulator for some games) I was called in to fix a PC running Windows 98 a few weeks ago. The fastest machine I have seen in ages. 256MB of RAM and I think a 200MHz processor. Booted in about 10 seconds and ran so fast it was unbelievable. Couldn't watch Youtube or use a lot of the internet on it but boy was it fast.
